This Privacy Policy explains how Currency Converter ("the app", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the app.

Currency Converter is a mobile app that converts currencies, stores your app preferences locally, may show ads, and may offer optional paid features.

2. Information We Collect

We do not require you to create an account to use the app.

Depending on how you use the app, the following information may be processed:

• Conversion inputs and app preferences you save in the app, such as selected currencies, recent input, conversion history, sound preferences, theme settings, accent color, and onboarding state.
• Technical and device-related information provided by the operating system, app platform, or integrated service providers, such as app version, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, purchase status, crash or diagnostic signals, and general network status.
• Purchase and entitlement status if you use paid features handled through RevenueCat and the relevant app store.
• Ad-related data processed by Google Mobile Ads / AdMob to serve and measure ads, subject to Google's policies and your device settings.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the app.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• provide currency conversion functionality;
• fetch and cache exchange-rate and currency metadata;
• remember your settings and recent activity on your device;
• determine whether ads should be shown;
• determine whether Pro features are unlocked;
• improve app stability, performance, and support.

4. Local Storage on Your Device

The app stores certain information locally on your device using on-device storage. This may include:

• selected source and target currencies;
• last entered amount;
• conversion history;
• cached exchange-rate data and timestamps;
• cached currency-symbol data;
• onboarding state;
• theme, accent, and sound preferences.

This local data helps the app work faster and preserve your experience between sessions.

5. Third-Party Services

The app currently integrates with or relies on third-party services, which may process information under their own privacy terms:

• open.er-api.com for exchange-rate data
• api.frankfurter.dev for exchange-rate and currency data fallback
• RevenueCat for in-app purchase and entitlement management
• Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for advertising
• Apple App Store / Google Play for app distribution, billing, and reviews

We do not control the privacy practices of these third parties.

6. Advertising

The free version of the app may display ads. Ad providers may use device and advertising-related data to deliver, limit, or measure ads. Their handling of data is governed by their own policies and applicable platform controls.

7. Purchases

If you buy or restore Pro features, purchase processing is handled by the relevant app store and RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card information.

8. Data Retention

Data stored locally on your device remains there until it is deleted by the app, removed by you, or cleared when you uninstall the app or clear app storage, subject to platform behavior.

Third-party providers may retain data according to their own retention policies.

9. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app.

10. Security

We use reasonable efforts to limit data collection and rely on platform and service-provider safeguards, but no app or internet transmission is completely secure.

11. International Use

Your information may be processed by service providers operating in countries other than your own.

12. Your Choices

You can:

• stop using the app at any time;
• uninstall the app;
• clear app storage using your device settings;
• use device-level privacy and advertising controls where available.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Currency Converter ("the app", "we", "us", or "our"). By using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the App

Currency Converter provides currency conversion tools, related exchange-rate information, advertising-supported access, and optional paid features.

You may use the app only in compliance with applicable law.

2. No Financial Advice

The app is provided for general informational and convenience purposes only. Exchange rates may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate. The app does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal, or trading advice.

You are responsible for independently verifying any rate or calculation before relying on it for a purchase, transfer, business decision, tax filing, or financial transaction.

3. Availability and Accuracy

The app depends on third-party services, device capabilities, app stores, and network connectivity. We do not guarantee that:

• the app will always be available;
• exchange-rate data will always be current or accurate;
• paid features, ads, or specific integrations will always remain available.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time.

4. Free and Paid Features

Some features may be available only through a paid upgrade such as Pro.

Billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are handled by the app store from which you purchased and any purchase infrastructure provider we use, such as RevenueCat. Store terms and billing rules apply to those transactions.

5. Advertising

The free version of the app may include ads. We are not responsible for the content, claims, or availability of third-party advertisements or linked services.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• misuse, interfere with, or disrupt the app or its connected services;
• attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the app beyond what applicable law permits;
• use the app in a way that violates law or the rights of others;
• use automated means to overload or probe the app or integrated services.

7. Intellectual Property

The app, including its design, code, branding, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, lawful use.

8. Third-Party Services

The app may rely on third-party services including exchange-rate providers, ad networks, purchase providers, and app stores. Your use of those portions of the experience may also be subject to third-party terms and policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or financial loss arising from or related to your use of the app.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 10 if you paid nothing.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the app or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the app, or to certain features, at any time if necessary to protect the app, comply with law, or address misuse.

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

13. Privacy

Your use of the app is also subject to the Privacy Policy in PRIVACY_POLICY.md.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms become effective when posted with a revised effective date.

15. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the app publisher is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local law requires otherwise.
